Buy Me a Barrel of Truth
"The earth sits in an orange bubble
caustic mist and burning trouble
Breathe the air, it'll kill you double
Broken ankle bones like twigs"
This is what the dreamers tell us
Pass the salt and mortify us
They won't buy the filth they sell us
They sleep tight on money beds
"Live Live Live!!! Just live for today!
The spark is lit in the dynamite clay
We won't judge you for the things that you say-
tomorrow we'll all be gone"
What they seem to dismiss as refuse
is the truth so firmly nestled
like the light at the dawning's wrestle
sweeping the darkness away
The earth will never combust or sputter
fall off it's axis or be made to totter
Peace will be soothing and trickle forever
from lips of the innocent ones
Will you be around to see the reflection
of loved ones who've witnessed their own resurrection?
When we see the prophecies fly out Revelation
Will you still buy into the lies?
