Butterfly Kisses
Milkweed midst the marigolds grow wild
Natures hand has kept this parcel undefiled
As if a unseen hand created a haven for them
Thousands of butterflies sparkle like gems
Watching them flit in joyous harmony as they gleam
I saw their flight was exquisitely pure and clean
Walking among them barefoot through the field
Thousands of butterfly kisses my presence did yield
Frolic in their wings fearlessness in their hearts
Became solely my blessing that will never depart
Delicate colorful creatures who appear to be frail
Strong as a large ship with wings for their sails
I smiled as I walked away
This is all I have to say
If you have never been kissed
Look for butterflies in your midst
