Butterfly Kiss
when she leans close,
i lose my breath.
she is my life;
her kiss is my death.
it amazes me
that a kiss so light,
could make me feel
as dark as night.
it is all so baffling,
i explode as i suck in.
i feel like a child,
in this mood that i am stuck in.
she is my everything;
the very breath in my lungs.
without her i'm useless,
like a ladder with no rungs.
her lips dance on mine,
a graceful waltz of kisses.
i cant help but think:
this must be what a dead man misses.
her kisses light like butterflies,
her light breath in my face.
"i love you" she says,
and my heart will never cease to race.
