Butterfly Fish

I'm sunlight
of the deep
brightly colored
red and pink
orange striped
yellow green
black dotted
like the wings
of a flying
monarch queen.
In the sky of the sea
freely glide
tree to tree
anemones, coral reefs
of their polyps
have my fill
then at night
in crevice reefs
hide my brightness
and go to sleep.
