Butterfly

Ply your silken path
You butterfly -
Let the sun refract your iridiscent colours
Of rouge and earth and sky
Taste the nectar of freedom in the wind
And glide unbridled on the wings of
possibility
Perch high and eschew
The matrix of shrubbery
Lest you cocoon in the fist
Of infantile curiousity
Ply your silken path, butterfly
Descend with your clan like confetti
Close yet not so close
The thrill of your elusion is the spark of my
elation
The seed of green countenance for us earth
bound
Fly away, butterfly
In your flurry of colours
