Butterfly

Oh how delicate are the wings of a butterfly,
As it flies in the sparkling blue sky.
The shimmering creature lands on a flower.
I watch as the butterfly flies, mesmerized for an hour.
Suddenly, the colorful insect flies away.
But I know this beautiful lady will come another day.
