Butterfly
Walking through notes that fall from your piano like an ambient rain
leaves drift through the air
guitars hum like the wind
happiness bends to your will
When will this song end
always intertwining
fingers through your hair
do you ever notice that whisper
Life can be cruel
love muttered silently
what will become of this
bloodied footsteps
Sutchers fall out
the pressure can not hold
rapid beating
heart flutters blindly
The butterflies swept away
flying into the wall
paint me a picture
of love that isn't cruel
Ill sing you a story
of an unhappy ending
you'll find my secrets one day
but on blank pages of rose petals
Love,
The butterfly's you'll never catch.
