Notes About The Poem
Monarch butterflies are known for enduring long flights during migration

Butterflies Of Spring

Into  deep hours...when twilight sparks
Dew wisps, flaring all bright monarchs,
Tender comes dark reeling a hum
There, air-tossed wings, on glide,succumb.

Butterflies through eve's lull... I hear
Sighs waft of low taps, quite revere ;
Whispering mild as feathers flow
Lingering through spring's dance, aglow !

I have read about, seen some things on TV about Monarch butterflies, Nette. We have either some around or some that are very similar to them here but not very many. I think the orange of that butterfly adds a distinctive beauty to a flower garden. 👍✍️ Way to go. Sara K.

The migration of these butterflies is so unexpected for creatures that seem so fragile. You have captured their deceptively soft appearance in the sighs and wafts and wisps, that in the end succumb, yet the migration continues (What do you call a group of butterflies ? flock doesn't quite work...I looked it up - a kaleidoscope/ flutter/ flight/ rabble/ swarm /roost /bivouac - I like yours, 'a hum...')
