Butterflies Adored Her
Ethereal she was, delicate and beautiful.
Her skin alabaster, red lips and pink cheeks.
Her auburn hair curled in exactly the right way.
Thick and fine; it was the only thing thick about her.
I hid in the shadows, watching her.
The butterflies understood.
Came to her as if she was butter.
Or a daisy.
Fluttered onto her hands and shoulders.
Understanding and reveling in her gorgeousness.
I watched for a long time, never forgetting this moment.
For it was exquisite and unforgettable.
