Dear Warren, your butterfly haiku is full of drama and tragic beauty. But what is Nature if not a balance of life and death? Splendid poetry! Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

I guess Praying Mantises have to eat too but those yellow butterflies are a beautiful sight to behold. Your words just drip with the feeling of mother nature Warren. Cheers - Gary

Paula, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks for your positive comments I love butterflies too. I have a butterfly bush in my backyard, and it's visited by yellow and black swallowtail butterflies. If I'm lucky, a couple of monarch butterflies. All the best-Warren
