On a field of green grass
Yellow buttercups spread mast
Row on row of the spread mass
Coating the field un surpassed
With yellow buttercups outspread
On grassy fields spread

As summer goes, so too go the buttercups, and when summer returns, so do the buttercups - yellow on green. Nice verse Darlene.

Buttercups are beautiful, they wont grow in South Africa, too hot and I love bluebells also, both I remember as a child walking in the woods in Taunton England with my parents and our dog Buster. Spectacular imagery. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Almost could taste the image, Darlene! makes me think of the yellow nasturtiums I grow in my garden, tossed with a swizzle of lemon vinaigrette & draped over ribbons of homemade noodles!

Great rhyme. Fields are beautiful when flowers bloom especially when there only a few spread out, like if they playing peek a boo.
