But They Don'T Know
I have their pictures.
But they don't know.
How I think of them daily.
And love them so.
I was there at their birth.
But they don't know.
I heard their first cries.
Counted tiny fingers and toes
I am their Grandma.
But they don't know.
That those shadowy memories
Are of us long ago.
I pray to the Lord.
But they don't know.
To keep them safe.
From every foe.
I just have their pictures.
But they don't know.
That I heard their first cries.
Counted tiny fingers and toes.......Grandma Marilyn
