But In My Eyes

In my mind
	A flower
As beautiful as it can be.
	Big and red and lovely
For all the world to see.

But in my eyes
	The flower
	Wilts and slowly dies.

My mind is kind and shows me
What it is I want to see.

But in my eyes
	I see the world
	As it can only be.
