But Decency Deserves a Chance

It’s about Iran

January 13, 2026: 'Help is on the way,' Donald Trump says as he urges Iranians to 'keep protesting'

Me should be humble. A nobody
Not rich or famous, a cogwheel
But I have eyes, and watch the bawdy
The sneaky moves, “Art of a Deal”

I am no party to no bargain
The secret talks that shouldn’t take place
So “no sh*t hit no fan”, a jargon
Describes a shameful loss of face

Call it smart tactics, moves a-pending
Where final words have not been said
But in my heart, I know the ending
“Pull back and leave”, this story’s end

We made a promise to a nation
That rose to fight the evil scum
In faraway, Mid-East location
With pleas ignored, the world went mum

We could have gone and made a change
Historic chance in our palms
But no, we started an exchange
With heartless beasts without qualms

Have no connection to that nation
“Who cares, not my backyard”, bro
I disagree, peace though ablation
Crazed ayatollahs, they must go

Now, everyone Trump’s tugging ear
With every possible concern
We went and stopped, so far yet near
To watch good folks hanged, shot and burn

Don’t make no trade in dark back alley
Just do what’s right, that should be plan
This film has an unknown finale
Foretell I can’t, I’m no wise man

Be decent, don’t change the offer
This ain’t a real estate deal
Blood spilled for freedom, I’m no scoffer
U.S,, cannot back down or kneel
