Busted Innocence

The time piece has stopped and will not rewind
Some pieces are missing lost somewhere in time
The hours are passing not a clue where they went
Yesterday is now leaving all its pay has been spent
We see the sun as its rising and guess it away
Then we sleep when the moon bids goodbye to the day

We curse and we cry blaming the folks
Searching for reasons why the clock is still broke
Picking out parts deciphering their cause
Hoping we will know what has created the pause
