Business As Usual

I see a leaking dame; I see a weakened wall; I see a once great partition; Once strong, now compromised; I see a melt-down of common sense; I see a once firm now cracked foundation; I see steel gates hanging from loosened hinges. All of these protectors have been breached, with intermittent steps, serpent-like cleverness and subtlety, with one denial and revision after another, allowing contaminants that are polluting our very souls, blinding our eyes, waxing our ears, and silencing our voices; withholding the wisdom from of old that we had been receiving, resulting in a shortage, a drought, that is preventing us from believing as we once did, assuring and certifying that unless we are awakened from our rhetorical preoccupation with the politics of variant persuasions, and our deep and prolonged sleep of distraction and indifference, we shall surely be lost along the path of the road to deception. O God, may we be thoroughly awakened to behold and execute your business and not continue with our own 'business as usual'. May we realize that you did not bring us through the wilderness to look, to believe, to think, and to behave like Egypt, but to take our stand, engage the intransigent giants, and inherit the promise land. 111520PS
