Burnt Pictures

Friends and foes it burns alike
Immune to it no one can be
Ruining precious memories I like
Eternal though they'll stay in the heart of me

When black ashes on the floor I found
Silent tears followed the sorrow
Losing all hope I squat on the ground
Weeped in despair of no tomorrow

Although its possible to buy new ones
Frames and cups that were burnt
But where will I find the memories gone
It was the biggest lesson I had learnt

He was no more, nor were his pictures
All I was left with were burns and no fixture

WOW!!In the Jungle Book, it was called "the red flower" Your piece is beautiful sadness for me. I know what it's like to lose those physical memories captured in pictures...I keep a sound mind the best I can, cause no one can take my mental jewelry...My heart feels your torrid emotions through your pen...I send you peace, love, & light across the Universe wherever you may be, jill

Thank you so much for your kind words Jill. I'm so glad you liked my poem. Indeed memories once lost only leave behind a mental jewellery for only me to cherish. But the physical evidences once lost make u feel even lonely.
