Burning Love

I was an origami swan
Carefully crafted from the thinnest of papers,
Fragile and frail and vulnerable
And you were a brazen flame
Glowing and radiant and bold
And the problem with our love wasn’t the fact that i was paper or that you were a flame,
It was just the indisputable fact 
That fire and paper cannot coexist
