Burning

So you find your light down there in the dark, down there the light burns for you so bright.
You feel the warmth of the cold street light where rain finds the tears you cry.

Sharp edged paving creases your skin as you crawl to find your sight. Torment rages deep within as day turns once again into the night.

It comforts you as it drowns the fire burning you alive. The questions you ask to kill the pain only bring it more to life.

So you find your light down there in the dark, down there the light burns for you so bright.

That secret world you create in your mind drives you and reality apart.
