Burn Your Memory Down

Lost in a dark vaporous pit Suffocating in the fumes of you After you went up in flame I tried to extinguish you for good Still you hang around Like a broken parachute Trapped on a tree limb What does it matter We won't be taking off Or crash-landing ever again In the vast and vacuous Space which is your soul I have been too many times I'm climbing out now I think I've seen the light

When you love someone and find yourself this unhappy, it's best to climb out of the pit, Deb. Don't know if you can burn away the memories (it's hard for me), but autumn is a good season for bonfires so have at it. Wishing you the best always. Love, Carolyn
