Burn It
Burn it!
Burn it now.
Set fire to the sadness
set fire to its unhappy stories
filled with pain and hurt and loss.
Let the flames blaze hot
then coldly fade into the smoke
that rises and dissipates into the air.
Burn it, hot with smoldering embers
never to be remembered,
never to be again.
Burn away
all the aching of loss
and memory of love gone wrong.
