Buried My Lover

I didn't physically bury,
My lover, today.

I buried my heart
That is lost & fraid.

I buried a soul,
That's withered away.

I buried a love,
That's departed astray.

I buried a mind,
That is lost, in space.

I buried a spirit,
That use to have grace.

I've buried a beauty,
That's faded with age.

My heart, mind, body & soul
I surrender...I live no more...

This is a deep and heart wrenching write. You allow the reader to feel your pain and anguish in each line. Nice job

Your right....ink I find it more as a. Mental burying of emotions to make way for the physical new beginings....its just different periods in life where you , learn and grow with experience. Thankyou your insightful:)

I'm sure we all sit and examine ourselves from time to time. This is a strong write. Every individual is treasure to someone or another. Don't be too hard on yourself. :)
