Burdens

Take this pain from me
Hold it for just a minute
A moment i can be free
My life it does inhibit

Something you can't keep
The pain is just too great
Feel how it cuts deep
My burden, yes it's my fate

Another soul it would break
Brings me down to my knees
All the nights i spent awake
A pain i have tried to appease

Hold it for a moment
Don't embrace it long
There is no atonement
Life feels so very wrong

It's what i always carry
Never does it leave
Demons I've grown weary
Not letting them deceive

It's how I must live
Every single day
Heavy heart I give
Burdens that weigh
