Bummer In Summer
I am floating
Floating on a path towards destruction
Brimming on insanity
I walk the line
Water drops caress my cheeks
On a dry summer's day
I feel them carve their way down through the skin
Gravity plops them onto the grimy floor
The flowers are blooming now
And some days I bloom too
But many days I carry the burdens of all
I weep in sorrow
I feel their pain
More than they do it seems
Although I torture myself
The reigns are not let loose on me
I meet judgment and anger at the door
A welcome mat with my name on it
I cannot win
Ever
My kindness is only returned by few
And those I love are not always the ones returning it
My heart breaks
And I’m still floating
Floating
