Notes About The Poem
Yesterday I learned of a beautiful little 12 year old, African American girl, who tried to end the bullying by ending her life. She succumbed to the bullying within her school; which was not dealt with, and was rather ignored and it was even fueled by the child's classroom teacher. Even though it is stated within the school's policies that it has a no bullying tolerance, the child felt there was no other recourse but to die. The child was resuscitated after attempting to hang herself; but is now a paraplegic and cannot even speak. To add insult to injury, her bullies sneaked into her hospital room and took pictures of her while she was unconscious and posted them all across social media. I am praying for this little girl as her story now trends. She and her family was done a great harm by the little bullies at her school; but more so by the school administrators who knew and did nothing to stop it.

BULLY

Bully

Beautiful I am, yet
Ugly I'm made to feel.
Loved I am, yet
Loathe and scorn each day I hear.
You will one day feel my pain, as my scars forever bear your name.

I was bullied horribly by literally everyone in school and I don't wish that on anyone. Like I had good teachers, but my classmates, not so much. I had a few friends but felt so lonely. Your acrostic resonated with me because I understand.

Hi Miranda, and thank you so much for your comment to this poem. I’m truly glad you survived it in the season it was your nightmare to bear. No one should ever have to go through bullying and to bring awareness is to heighten the senses of any and everyone who can intervene and do something to protect victims of bullying. It is a sensitive subject and this poem is to ask every reader to become involved. God bless you Miranda. ❤️

How evil, I hope those bullies get punished!! This is happening too often and it is not right... Sad that anyone should have to suffer from this.
