Bullies Make Me Sick

Where do these small-minded bigots go
Who have abused the meek and innocent
Beaten down a weak and wounded soul
Do they go to church where they repent
Or do they choose to slink deep into
Some slimy self-made hole of their own
Making, where supposed superiority rules
Where they are always the best of fools
Am I too unkind to these sick despicables
Should I attempt to be less abrasive
I shall state more clearly how I believe
All bullies make me want to heave!

Yes, and I think bullied people sometimes get so angry, they act out with anger too. So it’s bad all the way around. The film “Chronicle” now on HBO explores some of this. It’s a sick form of abuse that society should forbid. But we often have it at work and almost everywhere. Our previous executive leader was one. Not good.

Thanks, Tania. I think everyone on Poetry Soup will agree that we must immediately stop bullying throughout every area of our society at home and abroad. A big order, eh?

I don't think I've encountered any so far...good thing! I don't suffer fools gladly.

I couldn't agree more. Shallow is probably the best word to describe this loathsome lot. Good poem.
