Build Your Own Bridge First
I am building bridges as hard and as fast as I can,
not seeing that my own bridge is burning
until there is nothing left, so I have to begin
again, and be much smarter this time.
Build your bridges, but be careful.
Make sure yours is on a trust strong
foundation, so you can unite and link
with others, and we can uplift each other.
Building bridges was something we all understood
prior to our arrival. To preserve ourselves, and
to retain our good natures and maintain
our uplifted personality, we have to build them
for none of us are islands.
But only in the rarest of instances when the
bridge has been so caustic and mean
and unwilling to listen, should you consider
tearing up a bridge. Of course, you must
run out of all viable choices before you light
a fire onto another's bridge.
Throw a boat out with a long tow rope,
just in case they change their mind and
decide to come around later, for a bridge
is a savings place and saving is why we
are here.
