Build the Wall
Build the wall I hear them scream
Like this is some American dream
Why don’t we build that wall for all to see
Completely around Washington D.C.
We could charge admission, pay as you go
Come see the clowns at the circus show
An elephant and jackass will be the sign
Bring your own booze and I’ll bring mine
Mainstream media will bring us the latest
The ringmaster will tell you why he’s the greatest
The comedy show won’t be hard to sell
The performers are paid and we pay them well
Once you’re corrupted you can be hired
Worship the ringmaster or find yourself fired
While we build the wall we can dig a ditch
Bury the evidence while the rich get rich
So build the wall for all to see
But walls do not make people free
Of humanity the far right’s bereft
No patriotism within the left
We are slowly watching our country fall
Around D.C. please build the wall
