Notes About The Poem

Chagall’s finestra sul giardino
Window onto the garden

Brushstrokes of Bella

BRUSHSTROKES OF BELLA

deep cobalt dining,
alfresco & breezy.

lantern swings in wind.
lush landscape view.

blue and white curtains
billow beside huge windows,

as Bella, in a quiet spot, rocks.
Marc strolls past window, painting

a scene, that captures his adoration.
eyes see Bella in corner with shawl.

Beautiful Kim. I am not familiar with the painting but I have no doubt your words and phrases will connect with those who are. I just like the poem for what it is, intriguingly beautiful. Best wishes.

Thank, Chris! I love Marc Chagall! And I love how he painted his wife, Bella! He would fly her like a kite. There is so much love and joy!
