It's said there's magic to be found in the joy of innocence and giving credence to the possibility there is a paradise. I think that holds true when life's canvas is primed, ready to be painted with the skillful brush strokes of an artful hand. Life is like a painting, blending colors of autumn's leaves, soft shades of amber, sienna, and coral, the romantic tones illumined, yet shadowed by vestiges of life's highs and lows. The artist is always careful to remain focused on the lovers. Arm and arm, they may not have even noticed the rainfall. Lost in each other, both totally engrossed in the moment. They've found their paradise. No abstract painting on canvas, this one created with skillful brush strokes of a loving hand. *painting by Jeff Rowland

Another romantic poem from the pallet of Lin Lane. Rain always reminds me of the power of mother nature and symbolises many things. For me, in your poem, it acts as a connect between nature and the lovers - that's just my interpretation Lin but I like John's words below too. Cheers - Gary

Good morning and thank you, Gary. I agree with both of you. There’s something very romantic about lovers walking in the rain. The painting needed no words of explanation but as a contest prompt, I wrote my thoughts.

Indeed I never even noticed the rainfall Lin, sleight of hand no! Simply drawn to the focal point of the painting, and your wonderfully crafted poem, an excellent piece of work, cheers David

Hi David. If the couple is what your eyes were drawn to, Rowland’s painting is as charming as I think it is. Thank you for reading me. Lol it was nowhere near the quality of his artwork.

Absolutely fantastic job, Lin! To be absolutely certain all their focus remained there where it should have been.
