Brunch

I’m not sure but I have a hunch That people indulging in brunch Wake up pretty late So think it is great To eat breakfast when I would eat lunch. By giving a fancyish name Those late-risers think they can claim That their honest intent Is for time to be spent Making breakfast and lunch seem the same. There are crossovers, I will admit And both meals are considered legit But we early birds need For our day to proceed Morning rations or throats will be slit.

I like your reasoning about the why of brunch. Not a big fan of it, though. I prefer my 3 meals a day, especially breakfast where I can indulge my sweet tooth for a pastry sweet not too sugary or caloric. Soup for lunch suffices with a piece of good cheese. Dinner is light but nutritious, as I sleep better on a light stomach. Love your skill at writing limericks with such ease. / M

Humm I need to tell you about intermittent fasting. It's the new rage & good for the body. I eat from noon to 8 no other time. You could do 8 to 4 & still get early dinner. I think it works! Started last week. Nice poem.
