Brown Shoes Tapping

Brown shoes tapping to a tune inside glances fleeting off a three way mirror waiting patiently for a smile to appear Clock strokes many bags filled now heavy worn eyes gaze windows day turns to night carrying more than what's black and white Colored choices tug at the short skirt of success Enlightening everyday moments meant to impress Brilliant the impromptu pirouettes of a happy soul Cinderella dreams make even the timid feel whole

Oh my goodness Tim. Good Morning. I read your words twice to soak in the beauty. Yes beauty. I loved this in every way. The dancing the dreams being free. What more can we ask for. Wonderful throughout.

This was wonderfully beautiful and heart touching. I can picture this clearly, though my daughters are adults now, I can still see this as if it were yesterday. Thanks for the memory in your fantastic poem my friend.

I really got into this one, Tim, and read it twice. "Colored choices tug at the short skirt of success" says a lot. And the "impromptu pirouettes of a happy soul is such a beautiful description. Your poem is amazing! Hugs, Carolyn
