Brown Eyed Brows
This might sound cliché
but I’m in love with your
eye
—brows,
I particularly love the way
they just sit over your
eyes
The way they salute—
Slightly curved but acute
When you want to say Hi
and when it’s time to say
bye
they just slumber and die
In fact—
It’s difficult to tell if
your face is intact
Your temple wrinkles with
a frown
Eyes turn shadowy brown
Cheeks drop
—Lips pop
It’s sad in the cutest way
but that moment changes
the course of the rest of
my day
You’re eyes can stop
shining with pride
smile can inverse or take
a couple bows
but no matter how much
you tried
-- you can never mask
those beautiful brows.
