Brother's Baby

Small cold hands
Closed little eyes
There for birth
Instead goodbyes

Loved but never lived
Expected and wanted
God took a godsend
Left parents haunted

No words will heal
The hurt runs too deep
He held his cold baby
And started to weep

A loss, at a loss for words
No hugs will heal this pain
Grief so deep it will scar
Her memory will remain

Small cold hands
Forever closed eyes
There to live
But we've said goodbyes

Rest in peace
