Brother Rabbit

Brother Rabbit, tell me please When will the hard times end? Will the hell on earth increase To a no man’s land? Quiet life is my conviction Totally predictable Time goes by, in benediction Of the daytime rituals Last night I went up the hill I could see for miles Moonlit path across the field Under the starry skies Were you there, I can’t say Either I’m not sure If you heard my little pray You are so demure I don’t seek a golden fleece I wasn’t wired to fight Brother Rabbit, share some peace Send it through the night Not a calm before the storm But a storm no more Peaceful living, like a norm Shielded by the law.
