Broken wing Of the blue butterfly Broken wing Falling, falling There high above in the clouds Up there in the shining great sun The lone full butterfly flutters Struggling to float above us all Tumbling down Tumbling downwards toward the ground I the maggot, witness it all As the butterfly so broken Falls upon my back Fate saved the butterfly that day The warmth of her heart Gave me the maggot, majestic wings Reborn and strong was I I carried her upon my back We soared again on high Broken spirits In clouds of misty love She saw beauty in the mud I saw beauty in the broken We, the ones who fly Where overcome My tears of joy at this winged dance of love Weighed heavily on us We drowned inside these love drops The maggot and the butterfly We made a timeless grand love story For this we paid the price and died In a graveyard of tears

what a grand tale created by the inspiration of broken wings!! I agree with Jan maggots are so creepy!! It ended up being like phantom of the opera or something.

Gosh I can see you have been inspired by Broken Wings - would prefer caterpillars rather than a maggots as I associate maggots with death and decay but on this occasion it suits the subject:-) hugs Jan xx
