Broken window

Broken windows
Eyes are bare
There is no one inside of there.
Fallen trees
Bow to their knees
As the wind blows through their leaves.
Promises kept
Promises lied
I've never known promises to sing as they cry.
Roots buried deep
Intertwined as they sleep
Sinkholes of silence
The secrets they keep.
What if the sun pierces through to uncover
All that's forgotten
All of their lovers
What if the rain washes away the debris
Would it bring back what no one else can see?
The stories untold
Are Treasure and Gold.
The stories unseen
Are now just a dream.
