Broken Shells

And we stood high…over the edge of our life,
Mesmerized…by the churning waves of fight,
Falling down…we let go…of each others hand,
Now we are…but broken shells… lying in the sand.

Elaine, this short verse may be of few words but of great imagery. Its words seem to leave an impression in ones mind due to the great clarity of thought and formed imagery. Exceptionally written and congrats on the feature. Michael
