Broken Pieces

She told me love is a fairy tale, But if I could mend broken pieces of her heart, Make her wake up in a new dawn, With fragrance of passion all over her, She will love me. I accepted She told me love is a journey she isn’t ready for, But if I could smite her soul with arrows, Arrows that made Adam to give in to forbidden fruit, And make her fall into the Garden of Eden, She will start this journey with me. I gave in She told me love was a scary thing that haunts her, But if I could hide her into my heart, Cool her burning soul with my words, Shelter her from the hands that were scratching her back, She will no longer be afraid of my love. I believed She told me her heart was so delicate to hold more, But if my love would give her strength, To move through the waves of this world, And make her stand tall in romance, She would be mine forever. I yielded She told me, And I accepted, She told me, And I believed, She told me, And I gave in But she was just saying. She was just saying, To make me blush, Because I was still young, And I knew not the tricks of love.
