Broken On the Sand

Broken on the sand Shattered over rocks Standing at the end of forever Tittering on its jagged edge I stand and look down The memories swirling like mist As they rise to greet me There I’m meeting for the first time The seed starts to grow There I’m laughing I’m happy Forever is eternity then There I’m opening myself Just a little not to sure There together like one Giving just a little more There making promises Hesitant Giving a little more There Crying, fighting, yet stronger I’m opened There a laugh There a hug There a kiss More mist Swirling Swirling There the soft touch of skin There the warm breath on my cheek There walking together Sharing yet no words are spoken The sun of forever still rising in the east Swirling There I’ve given everything It felt so good It took so long There some words said regretfully There some pain There a tear There brushing them away There together There forever The mist everywhere Enveloping my body Hiding the ground I’m floating Weightless I see Three years ago Two years ago One Time moving fast Rapidly Rushing Toward something Faster it goes Forever It will never reach it Faster I look away Time blurs by Faster Faster Faster It stops, all is quiet The mist fades away Here I am standing Standing at the end of forever Standing on it’s edge Shattered Broken Alone Looking down Looking back Black So black Slowly Ever so slowly I fall Fall Slowly Then faster and faster I feel nothing There is nothing Broken Shattered Alone Forever
