Broken Like a Ship

Broken like a ship wedged upon the rocks I am in slow wait of my own destruction, crushed by the relentless rhythm of oncoming waves and changing tides. Floundering in this the final moments of my existence as all that was before visible shall forever slip beneath the waves of time, leaving no record of my passing save the scattered pieces of my shattered dreams and fading memories of full sails upon smooth seas..... a time when blue skies and clear waters passed beneath my wings giving me full flight and freedom to dream tall dreams
