Broken Hope
I am willing to pass unnoticed,
under their laughs of enjoyment
into a bag of memories in their minds,
and then to fade away.
And yet,
no senses are numb to pain,
nor mind, nor soul.
Soul sighs and shivers in the agony it has brought,
Shame and fear gulped down my throat,
throughout the smiles, glances, conversations...
all never free from touches of awkwardness.
Simply as a dove may fly away from his roost,
I shall fly too, but to return in time.
Until then,
Your smile lies within my heart,
as hope, not to be broken this time.
