Broken Heart

For Irma and Joe Garcia lost at Robb Elementary, Uvalde, Texas.

Did he wait each day to say
I love you how was your day
Did they say it was a match made
In heaven in their life long lovers parade

But in an act of evil his love was lost
By a gunman at such a cost
Trying to shield her little ones
And he was left alone his life undone

He went to lay flowers for her
For his love undeterred
But it was too much to bare
Passing from a broken heart in a lover’s despair

Now when the music plays
They are together to forever stay
Swaying softly in each other’s arms
In heaven sent away from harm.
