Broken Free

As I sit and write
I look around at my life
no longer filled with constant worries and strife.
Separated from chains and boundaries unproclaimed.
I take charge of my life,
No one else but me.
From these chains I'm now set free
From this point on happiness I see.

Tomorrow is another day
clear the path and open a new gateway.
For this life on Earth lasts only so long,
I will enjoy my life from this day on.
No one but me
is responsible for what I see.
I am happy now.
I live my life for me.
It seems as though, I have broken free.
