Broken Chains

I live under the curtain
of laws I'm forced to abide by.
But where are my powers
for which I can stand aside.

I'm like a leaf in the wind,
being forced to flow with the air
against my will.
Being guided through my path,
by yet rules.

Restrictions that immeasurably seize
our freedom,
lock our path,
decide our future
that lays ahead of us.

No, No, No!
I shall not obey
brainwashed by chains.
I am yet a soul that
seeks life, but yet,
not under the supervision
of others
,but my own.

I'll be released
being able to flow
with rules as a forgotten
memory,
and yet like no other
I shall bloom like a butterfly
from its cocoon.
And Fly!

Flying away anywhere
in which I please,
and see if fit.
