Broken by love's pieces

My chapter hath ended, like a seasonal bird;
Thou'lt hear me no more - I am the living dead.
Love hath made me die whilst thou keep'st living,
I have no life in thee - I am healing.

Like a longing bird, I'll taste no fruit;
Nor savour sweetness, nor smell thy fragrance.
The bittersweet love that planted me within, pure -
Shall grow where no fruit doth bear, nor ripen sure.

I'll longed for thee no more -
No tears are left to shed for thee nor implore.
Broken by love's pieces, none can mend,
I slipped by thy hand, in silence, to the end.
