I hold no grudges, but I don't like being lied to. In the end, I had to break free sadly.
Broken Bridge.
.
A voice ignored a step much too far
Total disregard and disrespected
A foolish blatant lie too many
Deceived tower of trust demolished
The hand of kindness wickedly bitten then rejected
No conscience no empathy
The thin veneer obscuring a cold stone heart
A vile tongue spews filth from the gutter
Propagating seeds of doubt and sadness
Ripping a loyal true friend heart apart
Standing in noma no guns in guns at hand
Separated by barbed wire and thick acrid smog
After the climatic aftermath and disarray
Umbilical cord severed
Open sore wounds that fester and painfully hurt
The salve of time heals but leaves the scars
Feet stuck and tethered
Hopes of reconciliation turn to dirt
A pitiful charade and masquerade
Driven by ego and self-pride
A one way street with a dead end
A broken bridge when two worlds collide.
