Broken Bonds

We were so little, you were just six and me seven. When we promised we’d stay this way till the end. Now look at what's happened, you’ve disappeared. Nowhere to be found eternally lost forever gone. I remember the times, I wiped your tears, Hugged you tight whenever you felt cold, Fought with life to keep you safe in a cruel world, Now, I am crying but nobody will wipe my tears, I am cold but nobody offers hugs of warmth. Not a day goes by that I don’t ask myself If I had just listened to you when you needed me. Then maybe just maybe would you still be here, Because I broke a bond that cannot be fixed, And now you will forever be missed.
