His crime encompassed hate and consternation So her vengeance screamed for all BUT apathy And should reprisal bring her condemnation Then she was fine, embracing what would be A reverence deep within was all that mattered Not how his predilection found her battered Unearthliness, untouched ... had kept her free.

Thank you very much, John, this WAS a tough challenge ... making those seven long and rather complicated words flow in just seven lines. This demanding contests are fun, though, and push us to grow as writers, I think ... the ones that come easily don't usually do that. So pleased you enjoyed it, my friend! :-)
