Broken and Destructive

It was 6 months
then it fell apart
It was his choice
The heart that was once whole
Is now broken
and I'm destructive
Everything I touch
Breaks
Everything I love
Fades
Nothing seems right
Everything I say
is wrong
I stand up
then I'm wronged
Things are never fair.

Then here he comes
My best friend
I've known him for so long
My heart isn't put in place
Because it's scared to break again
But he makes it easy to love him
So we will try
Starting slow

I'm not broken
I'm not destructive
Just misunderstood
And want to be loved
I'm fixing myself
